Parsons: 'It's not the most competitive game'
Chandler Parsons had a solid game in the Rising Stars Challenge, but came away wanting a bit more.
"That was harder than playing a regular NBA game," Parsons said. "It's just impossible to get going, impossible to not foul a guy, or to not play too serious or run too hard.
"So it's really a show. I hope the fans liked it, but it's not the most competitive game in the world."
The Rockets second-year forward scored 13 points on 6-9 shooting. His first three field goals were all dunks. However, his Team Shaq lost to Team Chuck 163-135.
"It's hard to get going in a game like that," he said. "I just tried to finish and just take open shots and not force anything and, most importantly, not get hurt. I thought I did okay."
But Parsons prefers a more competitive game.
"I think it'd be cool," he said. "I think, for sure, it'd be a good look if they did that because the fans would enjoy that more, I would think because I'd rather watch the best guys really compete. See who's the best young guy. It's still entertaining though."
