Lin talks about his skills competition performance
Damian Lillard won the event, but Jeremy Lin gave a solid performance in front of the home crowd during the Skills Challenge.
Lin completed his dribble, pass, and shoot drills in 35.8 seconds, a highly respectable mark in a field of six players.
However, Lillard won the contest in 28.8 seconds.
"Just to be a part of the weekend and the events, it was a great time," Lin said. "And we're doing it for a good cause as well, so it makes it all even better.
"It's fun, it's fun, just to be able to share the city with the rest of the world," he continued. "For everybody to be able to see and experience Houston and the Rockets, so we're having fun doing it and we're glad we can be the hosts this year."
The hardest part of the contest?
Lin replied, "I'd probably say some of those passes. The passes are probably the toughest part just because sometimes it might look good but we've never really practiced it. It's kind of the first time we've done it, so we don't really have a great feel for everything."
