Parsons knocks ball away, finishes with dunk
Chandler Parsons’ back spasms seem to be OK.
The Rockets held a slim two-point advantage with just under three minutes left in the first quarter in Sunday’s 5 p.m. game at Sacramento when Parsons knocked the ball away from Kings’ guard Isaiah Thomas. The Rockets forward quickly sprinted back to the other end as his teammate, guard Aaron Brooks, grabbed the ball and threw it to Parsons, who was all alone on the break on the Rockets’ end for the one-handed jam.
That put Houston up 24-20 with 2:51 left in the first frame and prompted Sacramento head coach Michael Malone to call a timeout. The game was tied at 28 after the first quarter and Parsons led Houston with 12 points. Rudy Gay had a game-high 14 points.
