Persistence pays off
The Rockets have had all sorts of trouble with the three point shot over the last few games and through the first quarter on Saturday against the Pelicans.
But early in the second quarter their persistence paid off in one offensive possession. Two three point shots missed their mark but the Rockets kept getting the offensive rebound, the second of which required a phenomenal effort by Aaron Brooks and Donatas Montiejunas to keep the ball alive. The third time proved to be the charm for the Rockets, who needed the shot to stay ahead of the Pelicans in the second quarter.
