Highlights: Rockets beat Lakers

After a slow start, the Rockets rode a furious late third quarter run to victory over the Lakers, 125-112.

James Harden scored 31 and tied a franchise record with his 13th consecutive game with at least 25 points. Chandler Parsons also scored 20, but Carlos Delfino was a beast yet again off the bench.

Delfino hit 5-of-7 from distance to finish with 19 points. Jeremy Lin also had a nice game with 19 points, six rebounds, and five assists.
Turning point
The Rockets had trailed the majority of the game and were down 78-73 in the third. Then, they turned it on. Houston went on an 18-2 run, with plenty of crowd-pleasing plays, to lead it 91-80 and grab control of the game.
From the field
The Rockets shot 48-88 from the field to finish at 55 percent. From distance, they were an impressive 42 percent (11-for-26).
At the line
The Rockets didn’t get to the line as much as usual, but they did solidly when they were there, shooting 18-23 (78 percent).
Highlight reel
Marcus Morris had a nice dunk off a feed from Lin in the third quarter. Carlos Delfino drove Red Nation bonkers, in a good way, with his many three-pointers. Harden had a memorable dunk that was a three-point play that put him over that milestone 25-point mark.

Up next
The Rockets will be wheels up immediately to New Orleans to take on the Hornets. New Orleans has struggled this year, but they’ve given the Rockets some good games and they beat the Spurs for the second time this season on Monday evening.
