Kelvin Sampson acknowledged Kyle Lowry may have some extra motivation in his return to Houston.
Lowry spent the past three and a half years with the Rockets before getting dealt to the Raptors in the offseason in what wasn't the cleanest of splits.
"He's just the ultimate competitor," Sampson said. "He plays to win. Before he felt ill last year, he arguably could've easily made the All-Star Team.
"So, coming back tonight, Kyle's one of those guys ... I don't know if he holds a grudge. That's only something he could answer, but I know that he'd like to stick it to us."
Lowry has played down his return to Clutch City when speaking to Toronto media. He is averaging over 18 points, six assists, and two steals a contest so far this season.
