Royce White's day has come to report to the Rockets' D-League affiliate at Rio Grande Valley.
White tweeted the following on Sunday night:
The Rockets reinstated the rookie forward on January 26 and, in a statement, said that the agreement addressed "the major issues that they have been discussing, provides a new start, and gives Royce the best opportunity for long term success as a Houston Rocket" and that it's been "a learning process for both parties."
White's battle with his anxiety disorder has been well chronicled.
The saga between White and the Rockets began when he missed an early portion of the preseason, came back, then left the team before ever playing in a regular season game. The Rockets officially sent him to the D-League on Dec. 29. White refused the demotion the next day. The Rockets suspended him on Jan. 6.
White was the Rockets' 2012 first-round pick (16th overall) from Iowa State.
