Highlights: Rockets fall to Nuggets

BOX SCORE

Synopsis
The Rockets' offense never seemed to really find its rhythm as Houston lost to Denver 93-87. Jeremy Lin and James Harden only combined for 21 points. So even though Patrick Patterson scored 18 and Omer Asik had a double-double, it wasn't enough.

Turning point
The Rockets had the ball down four in the final minute, but Harden got swatted on the drive by Kenneth Faried. About 20 seconds and a missed three later, Faried sent fans to the exits with a dunk off the break. Six point lead with 13 seconds left? Ballgame.

From the field
Houston shot 31-for-84 from the field, a 37-percent clip. Some of the big efforts included Patterson's 8-for-13 performance.

At the line
A normal day at the line for the Rockets, where they hovered around 70 percent. To be exact, they were 17-23 for 74 percent.

Highlight reel
Chandler Parsons had a second-quarter alley oop. Asik had a dunk in the second. Some of the Rocket shooters (such as Carlos Delfino) had timely threes. But overall, most of the highlights were Denver's.

Up next
The Rockets will play the Grizzlies on Friday. Memphis is coming off a big win Wednesday night over the Bucks. Their record improves to 3-1. The Grizz have won three straight now.
