BOX SCORE

SYNOPSIS

Even without Chris Paul, the Clippers were too much for the Rockets on Tuesday night, winning 117-109. Jamal Crawford put on a show with 30 points in 29 minutes. James Harden led the Rockets with 23 points, but they left with their fourth straight loss.

TURNING POINT

The Rockets led at the half 59-58. Thing is, the Clippers started the second half on a 25-6 run to take over the game 83-65. From that point, the Rockets were in too deep a hole to dig out of.

FROM THE FIELD

The Rockets shot 41-82 for 50 percent. Three-pointers remained something that they’re struggling with recently, as they shot 13-37 from long range.

AT THE LINE

Speaking of struggles, the Rockets shot 14-25 from the line. That’s far below what the team usually does with their free throws.

HIGHLIGHT REEL

Jeremy Lin had a nice no-look feed to Greg Smith for a dunk that gave the Rockets a 35-33 lead. James Harden had a fast-break dunk in the second half off a Chandler Parsons steal. Harden had a more impressive dunk late that showed plenty of nastiness in the fourth.

UP NEXT

The Rockets will now try to avoid five straight losses when they head to Dallas to face the Mavericks on Wednesday evening. The Mavs are 16-23, but they’ve won three straight games.
