Highlights: Rockets fall to Nuggets again

The Rockets put up a good fight, but they ultimately went down to the Nuggets 118-110. However, it was definitely an improvement over the last time the Rockets played against Denver.

Jeremy Lin led the way with 22 points and five assists. Chandler Parsons and James Harden had 21 points apiece. Omer Asik had 10 points and 18 rebounds. But the Rockets couldn’t overcome a big run by the Nuggets, detailed below.

Spanning from late in the third quarter and into the fourth, the Nuggets went on a 22-2 run. The Rockets made it interested towards the end, but it was this stretch that got them in battle-back mode for the rest of the game.

The Rockets shot 39-81 for 48.1 percent. From distance, they were 8-27 for 29.6 percent.

Houston was 24-35 from the line for 68.6 percent. Harden was 8-12 from the stripe, with those four misses uncharacteristic of his usual game. Speaking of uncharacteristic, Kenneth Faried shot 7-8 from the line for the Nuggets.

Greg Smith had his usual dunk. Patrick Patterson had a nice slam off of outstanding ball movement. Asik had a nice finish off a feed from Parsons.

The Rockets come back home to play Saturday night against the Bobcats, who are at the bottom of the Eastern Conference and lost on Wednesday to the Spurs by 24 points.
