Highlights: Rockets take down Grizzlies

In a battle of contrasting styles, the Rockets up-tempo pace won out 121-96.

James Harden had a huge game with 31 points on 9-of-13 shooting, along with eight assists. Omer Asik had another double-double, with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Jeremy Lin had 15 points, six rebounds, and 11 assists.

All in all, seven Rockets scored in double figures, but the story was the Rockets' tempo winning out for the fifth victory in six games.
Turning point
The Grizz still seemed to be in striking distance in the third quarter, but Harden refused to let the Rockets lose their lead. Harden scored 13 in the third quarter alone as the Rockets took a 94-78 lead after three. That put the team firmly in control of the game.

From the field
The Rockets shot 44-for-82 for 54 percent. From the outside, they put up 28 shots and hit 12 of them. Not too shabby.
At the line
"Not too shabby" could also apply to the free throw line. The Rockets did another good job of getting to the stripe. Harden, as he always does, got there a lot, going 21-for-26.
Highlight reel
It was dunk dunk city for Omer Asik in the first half. He had three flushes in the first 24 minutes alone. Toney Douglas had a remarkable three-point play in the third quarter.

Up next
The Rockets will now ready for a road trip that starts in Chicago on Christmas Day. One of the team's bigger wins this season was over the Bulls at home, so Chicago will likely be looking for some revenge. Meanwhile, the Rockets will look to keep the good times rolling.
