The Rockets made it look easy on Wednesday night with their fifth consecutive home win, beating the Atlanta Hawks, 113-84. They did not trail at all and got a huge night from Francisco Garcia and Aaron Brooks, each with a game-high 21 points off the bench.

The Rockets got a season high 67 points from their bench, including 10 from Omer Asik, who has played inspired ball over the last few games.

Guard Jeremy Lin, who started in place of James Harden for the third consecutive game, had to leave after just four minutes of action. He appeared to bang knees with somebody and was diagnosed with a right knee contusion, which he did not return from.

Not in my house

The Rockets did not trail in this game. That marked the fourth consecutive game at Toyota Center in which the Rockets never trailed. The last time they trailed at home was in the first overtime against Toronto on Nov. 11.

Highlight of the night

The Rockets lead in the first half, that was once 12 points, was down to three at 43-40, when Dwight Howard found Chandler Parsons for a 3-pointer from the wing, Then on the other end, Terrence Jones blocked Gustavo Ayon’s layup on one end, ran the floor and got rewarded with the alley oop from Parsons for a vicious slam. Jones finished with 14 points and six rebounds.

The game was over when…

Francisco Garcia opened the fourth quarter scoring with one of his three 3-pointers. The Rockets led by 13 points after that bucket and Atlanta got no closer than 12 points the rest of the game.

Next up

The Rockets will play again at Toyota Center on Friday night after Thanksgiving against the Brooklyn Nets. Houston has won their last 13 games against the Nets. The last time they lost to the Nets was during the 2005-2006 season. The Nets (4-11) lost at home on Wednesday to the Lakers and have lost nine of their last 11 games.
