The Rockets made their first cut of the season on Wednesday, releasing undrafted rookie guard B.J. Young.

Young, who played college ball at Arkansas, averaged 15.2 points per game in his final season for the Razorbacks, and 11.8 points per game for the Rockets in the NBA summer league.

He could be a candidate to be re-signed and placed on the Rockets NBA Developmental League team, the Rio Grande Vipers.

With the move, the Rockets reduced their roster to 18 players.
