Rockets lose; Lin sits for fourth (Chinese)
In this Mandarin Minute, Howard Chen AKA 陳定豪 explains that while Jeremy Lin sat the fourth quarter for a second straight game, that wasn't why the Rockets lost to Denver.
A 36-22 Nuggets third quarter gave them a double-digit lead. Kevin McHale's rotations have usually featured Lin coming in in the latter half of the fourth quarter. By the time that point of the game rolled around, the Rockets were hopelessly out of it.
Whether Lin played the fourth quarter or not, he or his benching wasn't the reason the team lost. The team had a total of 22 turnovers, just two off a season high. Afterwards, the mood in the locker room was somber. All of the Rockets, be it Coach McHale or the players, said the defense was an issue. They said they came out flat. They said the ball movement wasn't there. They said the offense wasn't good.
The Rockets have now lost eight of their last nine. Their next game is on Friday night against the Hornets.
