According to a report, the Rockets are deep in talks to trade Thomas Robinson.

A person with knowledge of the Rockets' plans told the Houston Chronicle a deal could be "imminent." Teams mentioned as interested include the Cavaliers and the Bulls. The Spurs were mentioned as a team who had been interested in acquiring the power forward.

Robinson just completed his rookie season after the Kings selected him fifth overall in the 2012 NBA Draft out of Kansas. He was shipped to the Rockets at the trading deadline along with Francisco Garcia and Tyler Honeycutt for Patrick Patterson, Toney Douglas, and Cole Aldrich.

Robinson averaged 4.8 points and 4.5 rebounds during his rookie season in 70 games. He's on the books to make roughly $3.5 million next season, money the team would need to clear out to make a max free-agent run at a player like Dwight Howard.
