According to a report from Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer, Bobcats' Michael Kidd-Gilchrist has been cleared to fly to Miami to be with his team.
The Bobcats play the Heat on Monday night.
Kidd-Gilchrist was taken off the court in a neck brace and on a stretcher and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital after colliding with a teammate during the game on Saturday night at the Toyota Center.
According to NBA rules, because he had a concussion, Kidd-Gilchrist will need to pass a concussion test before he's cleared to play.
Kidd-Gilchrist was alert and had movement in all of his extremities before leaving the Toyota Center, according to Bobcats' PR. Precautionary X-rays and a CT scan were negative for head and neck injuries. He was hospitalized overnight for observations.
