Patterson takes over in fourth quarter

Patrick Patterson came to the Rockets' rescue in the fourth quarter.

Patterson had a string of 12 straight Rockets points to help stretch a close game into a 101-93 lead that proved commanding enough for the Rockets to be well on their way to their 109-95 victory.

In the fourth quarter, Patterson was 6-6 from the field for 14 points. He finished with 24 points for the game.

"That was awesome," Jeremy Lin said. "He just caught fire and we just rode him all the way to victory. He was making everything: the offensive rebounds, three pointer, pull-up jumpers, everything."

"Thankfully, that corner three's done me well all season long," Patterson said. "I got some great looks tonight. I got some great extra passes. I was able to knock it down in crunch-time situations. And big-time offensive rebounds, attacking the glass. As far as post-ups, teammates looking at me, being at the right spot at the right time, and that fourth quarter was a big fourth quarter for all of us."

And with that big fourth quarter, the Rockets had themselves their fourth win over their last five games.
