As the Rockets leave Thursday for a four-game road trip, the status of injured starter Chandler Parsons and key reserve Greg Smith remains unknown. Parsons missed Wednesday's game against the Lakers with a sore right knee and only shot free throws at Thursday's practice.

"It's getting better, it's still extremely sore and it's kind of lingered to my hamstring and my calf," Chandler Parsons said. "I initially thought it was my knee, but I'm guessing something else happened in the Knicks game. That whole area is pretty sore, just trying to do everything I can to get back."

He initially injured the knee in practice on January 2nd when he banged knees with teammate Terrence Jones. As he noted, he played in the game versus the Knicks the following day, but may have made his condition worse.

Smith did go through practice, which Kevin McHale said was good. Smith has missed 21 games with his right knee injuries this season.

Houston faces Atlanta on Friday night in the first game of their four-game road trip. Starting guard Pat Beverley (hand) and Omer Asik (knee) remain out for the immediate future.
