Parsons: 'This is the most sore I've ever been'
After missing the last two games with back spasms, Chandler Parsons returned to the starting lineup and helped the Rockets get off to a fast start and beat the Warriors, 105-83.
Parsons spent a couple of hours with an acupuncturist on Thursday and said his back was feeling better and he knew he wasn’t going to miss a game against Golden State.
“There was no way I wasn’t playing against them,” Parsons said. ‘That was painful watching us play and not being able to help.
“They are a really good team, so I knew I could come out here and help us,” he added. “I was a little rusty offensively, but that will come. They are a great team. It’s always physical, so there was no way I was missing this one.”
Parsons was just 3-of-13 shooting for eight points, but did have five assists, four rebounds and three steals.
He also said he felt pretty good getting back out there and is hopeful he won’t miss any more time.
“Fingers are crossed,” he said. “I’m just going to continue to keep doing exercises, keep getting stronger. Keep doing everything they are telling me to do and hope it goes away.
“I’m definitely sore, but I felt good to get back out there.”
