Chandler Parsons knows he and the Rockets will have their hands full against Kobe Bryant and the Lakers on Tuesday night.
Kelvin Sampson has said before that Parsons is his best perimeter defender. In his two years in the league, Parsons has matched up defensively against Bryant, even earning some praise from the Lakers' perennial All-Star.
Of course, the feeling is more than mutual from Parsons.
"Kobe’s always Kobe,” Parsons said. “He’s one of the best players to ever play the game."
And even though Bryant is 34 years old, Parsons knows better than to think age is a crutch.
“No matter what they say about him, no matter how old he’s getting, he had 34 (points on Sunday night)," Parsons said. "He’s leading the league in scoring.”
Bryant is currently the only player in the league averaging 27-plus points a game at 27.3 ppg.
