Parsons: 'I want to be out there'

Chandler Parsons is not expected to play Friday night against the Blazers.

Parsons is dealing with a strained right calf. He is listed day to day. The second-year forward from Florida just came back from a bout of food poisoning to score 29 points in Wednesday's win over Sacramento. Parsons says he was kicked in the calf sometime late in the game. The injury tightened up on him to the extent he needed a walking boot on Friday.

Meanwhile, Carlos Delfino has flu-like symptoms and will be a game-time decision.

Delfino missed the Kings game with a sore right foot. He was able to take part in Friday shootaround on a limited basis.

Paraons was not able to participate in the Rockets' Friday shootaround.

According to Rockets.com reporter Jason Friedman, Kevin McHale has confirmed Francisco Garcia as the starter in place of Parsons.
