CSN Houston has confirmed reports that Omri Casspi will be joining the Houston Rockets.

Ironically, when the Kings drafted Casspi 23rd overall in 2009, it was with the pick acquired a year earlier from the Rockets in the deal that brought the former Ron Artest (now Metta World Peace) to Houston.

According to sources, the first year of the deal is guaranteed, while the second is non-guaranteed. Casspi is a four-year NBA veteran. During his rookie year in 2010, Casspi averaged 10.3 points, with 31 starts in 77 games. After the 2011 season, he was traded to the Cavaliers with a first-round pick for J.J. Hickson. Casspi is a 6-9 forward who has shown the ability to stretch the floor and hit the outside shot.

Free agents cannot officially sign until July 10.
