Much maligned for his free throws all year long, Omer Asik has been a recent force from the line.
In fact, he's been the Rockets' best free throw shooter in each of the last two games.
Prior to the last few games, Asik was shooting a career-best 53.5 percentage from the stripe. Even though this represented an improvement from his previous years, he had recent rough stretches, most notably on January 11 when he shot 1-8 on his freebies.
However, Asik has turned it around of late. On Friday against the Pacers, he was 6-7. In the team's previous game against Dallas, he was 4-4. That's 10-11 combined over his last two contests, a 90.9 percentage.
This was icing on the cake for Asik as he also got 12 rebounds and a career-high 22 points against Indiana. The game marked his third double double over his last four games.
