With just over 10 seconds left in overtime of Rockets-Blazers Game 1, Dwight Howard and Blazers' Joel Freeland went up for a rebound.

Howard was called for a foul, which put the Blazers on the line with the Rocktes' trailing by one. Freeland made one of two to give the Blazers a 122-120 lead and James Harden missed the final shot in the loss.

But on Monday, the NBA admitted the officials made a mistake. Instead of Freeland going to the line, it should have been Howard on the line with the Rockets down one with 10 seconds left.

“After video review by the league office, we have determined that the officials were incorrect in assessing a foul to the Rockets’ Dwight Howard with 10.8 seconds remaining in overtime," the league said in a statement. "The foul should have been called on the Blazers’ Joel Freeland and Howard should have been awarded two free throws.”
