Marcus Morris on his hot start

After a tough rookie season, Marcus Morris is off to a promising start to his sophomore year.

Morris got into only 17 games in his first season out of Kansas.

In his second year, in three games, he already has nearly surpassed his total output from his entire rookie year.

Morris scored a career-high 17 points on Friday evening in a win over Atlanta. That was his first game as an NBA player that he hit double digits. He followed that up with a 13-point effort Saturday against the Blazers.

"I'm just playing hard, letting the game come to me," he said. "I'm playing with confidence. I'm shooting the ball like 25 percent from the three. That's terrible, but I make it when it counts."
