Jeremy Lin gives an update on injury status
Jeremy Lin is a game-time decision for Monday's Game 4 between the Thunder and Rockets.
Lin suffered a bruised right chest muscle late in the first half of Wednesday's Game 2. After not being able to take part in Friday's practice and Saturday's shootaround, the Rockets' starting point guard still gave Game 3 a shot. He would only be able to play 18:23, going 1-6 for two points and one assist. Although he was not using the injury as an excuse, it was clear his physical ailments were holding him back.
When asked specifically on Sunday as to what hurts when he does what, Lin said, "Everything."
"It limited me some, but everybody's hurt, everybody's dinged up at this point," Lin said. "I've just got to find a way to get through it and if I step out on the court tomorrow, then I need to be prepared to play and play well."
Right now, that's a big if.
"That's a big decision for us to make," Kevin McHale said. "I know Jeremy really wants to play, but he couldn't do a lot of stuff last night. We're going to have to wait and see because it doesn't do him any good to play if he can't help us, so we'll see. He just got therapy today and we'll see how he feels tomorrow."
"It's one of those things where I'm not sure," Lin said. "I've just got to re-evaluate tomorrow and make sure that if I get out there, I can help."
