Jeremy Lin and James Harden not only dole out the assists on the court. They're assisting the needy during the holiday season tooo.
Both will be taking part in separate shopping sprees for selected kids coming from disadvantaged families.
And both will be assisted by their families as well.
On Friday morning, Lin, along with his parents Shirley and Gieming, will treat 25 kids to breakfast and then a shopping spree at the Toys 'R Us on Old Spanish Trail. These kids have been selected from the Rockets' charity partners who help disadvantaged families.
In the afternoon, Harden and his mom, Monja Willis, will host five Houston families to a shopping spree at the Super Target on South Main. The families were selected by Houston's Children Charities based out of need during the holiday season.
On the court, 'tis the season right now for some improved backcourt chemistry between Lin and Harden, along with the rest of the team. The Rockets have won four of their last five games. In the last two wins, over the Knicks on Monday and then the 76ers on Wednesday, Lin and Harden have combined for 50 and 51 points, respectively.
