Lin thrilled with win over Jazz
Jeremy Lin wasn’t the leading scorer in the game, but he may have had the biggest impact with his ability to break through the Jazz defense, get to the rim and finish.
"Jeremy attacked the rim well," Rockets coach Kevin McHale said.
Lin hit nine of 13 shots in the game, but seven of those makes were around the rim. The point guard finished with 24 points.
“They were really intent on staying with James (Harden),” McHale said. “Jeremy broke from the defense, they were stepping up and then getting back, and Jeremy was able to turn the corner on them.”
His best stretch may have been in the closing minutes. With the Rockets lead cut to 10 with 4:25 left in the game, Lin drove to the basket for layups on consecutive Rockets possessions and then fed Chandler Parsons on a cut to the hoop for a slam dunk to maintain the advantage.
"We played with a lot of energy," Lin said.
