It's still early in the process, but after the first returns, Jeremy Lin's third and James Harden is fourth in voting among Western Conference guards.

Both Rockets guards sit behind a couple of Los Angeles players. The Lakers' Kobe Bryant sits atop the list, nearly doubling up Chris Paul of the Clippers.

Meanwhile, Omer Asik sits seventh among Western Conference frontcourt voting.

Voting goes until January 14. The All-Star Game, of course, takes place in Houston on February 17.

This is the first year the NBA is incorporating social media into the voting. That includes Facebook and Twitter, and Sina Weibo and Tencent QQ in China.

For Twitter, voters would need to have the player's first and last name along with the hashtag #NBABALLOT. Twitter users can vote for one player each day.
