The Knicks and Rockets met in New York in November, with the Rockets escaping with a 109-106 victory. That came despite 45 points from Carmelo Anthony, the most points scored by any player against the Rockets this season. Tyson Chandler was still injured for that first meeting and they struggled without him going just 6-14 in the 20 games he missed. They are 4-7 with him in the lineup. Anthony just returned to the lineup last night, after missing the last three games with an ankle injury. He had 27 points, 12 rebounds and four assists in their win at San Antonio.

Following Friday morning's shootaround, Dwight Howard said he was not happy with how he played against the Knicks in their first meeting and despite the return of Chandler for this game, he hoped to bring a lot more for his team. Howard did have 15 rebounds and four blocked shots, but scored only seven points and had five turnovers. He made only one of five shots.

Who are the Knicks?

New York is 10-21 on the season, but coming off a win last night in San Antonio. Carmelo Anthony is fourth in the NBA in scoring at 26.5 points per game.

Tyson Chandler and J.R. Smith are former defensive player and most improved player of the year award winners, respectively.

Knicks Last Game:

New York just began their Texas three-game swing with a 105-101 win at San Antonio last night. Iman Shumpert had a huge game with a career high 27 points and a huge tip-in to put the Knicks up 103-101. He had just hit a 3-pointer to give New York a three point lead, moments earlier. It was just the Knicks sixth road win of the year. It was their first win in ten games against western conference teams.
