In an effort to continue the unfortunate theme of the season, the Rockets likely welcome one player back from injury while saying goodbye to another.

Following Monday's shootaround for their game against Portland, guard Pat Beverley said everything looks good with his right hand and he is ready to play tonight.

He broke his hand on Dec. 21 against Detroit and missed the last 14 games. The Rockets went 9-5 in his absence. Beverley will start, with Jeremy Lin moving back to his role off the bench.

However, forward Terrence Jones, who scored a career-high 36 points in the Rockets win Saturday night vs. the Bucks, has been ruled out of Monday night's game with a deep right thigh bruise suffered in practice on Sunday. Donatas Motiejunas will start.

"I'm questionable, we don't know if I'm playing or not tonight," Jones said after shootaround, which he sat out. "Just trying to work on it as best I can to get ready for tonight."

Jones has started the last 34 games for Houston averaging 12.9 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game in those games. Houston is 22-12 with Jones starting.
