Jones after his 19-point, 17-rebound game
There was a leaky roof, plenty of eye-popping dunks and a near-monumental collapse.
But somewhat lost in the Rockets' 114-107 win on Saturday night was the fantastic performance by second-year player Terrence Jones.
Jones scored 19 points to go along with 17 rebounds and three blocks. It's the 11th such game in the NBA this season. Dwight Howard has done it three times.
“I always think big. I have big goals," Jones said last week after practice. “I want to be a great player so I always think big. I think I’ve played well but I still have a lot of room to improve and get better.”
Jones, 22, is now averaging 10.4 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game. He's one of 14 players in the league doing that this year. Howard also has those numbers, which makes the Rockets the only team in the league to have two players putting up those numbers.
