Dwight Howard and Jeremy Lin both took part in the Rockets’ shoot-around on Tuesday morning but their statuses for Tuesday night's game against the Heat are in question.

Both missed practice on Monday with back issues.

Howard said his back was sore on Tuesday morning after it was worked on for most of Monday night.

“Hopefully, I’ll be ready for tonight so I can play,” said Howard, who has played in all 59 games this year.
Howard said he couldn’t get out of bed two days ago. He also said this type of pain hasn’t happened earlier this season.

Lin said he felt better on Tuesday morning after missing practice the previous day but said he’s a game-time decision. If everything stays the same, he said he’ll be able to play but will work out before the game to test it.

"Feeling better. I got two days rest on it," he said. "I think game-time decision, see how it feels. I participated in shoot-around, which is positive but we’ll see how it feels when we get to the arena."
