Highlights: Rockets beat up 76ers
James Harden needed only 12 shots to get his 33 points in Wednesday's 125-103 win over the 76ers.
Harden made seven of his 12 attempts, including two of three from three-point land. What really made his night stand out, however, was his free throw prowess. Not so much his ability to hit them, but the frequency and ability Harden had to draw the foul and get to the line. Harden finished the game 17-18 from the charity stripe. The free throw attempts and free throws made represented career highs for Harden.
"James is a handful in transition," Kevin McHale said. "He starts coming downhill on you. He's got that side-to-side. He's just hard to guard."
This was the sixth time in his last seven games that Harden has scored at least 28 points. As if the scoring wasn't enough, Harden also had seven assists.
