Rockets' winning streak at five (Chinese)
In this Mandarin Minute, Howard Chen AKA 陳定豪 discusses the last few games for the Rockets, including the impressive one over the Bulls and the gutty one over Minnesota.
Against Chicago, on Christmas Day, the Rockets dominated to win 120-97. Four different Rockets had at least 20 points, topped by James Harden's 26. Jeremy Lin AKA 林書豪 had 20 points and 11 assists. In his first trip back to Chicago since he left the Bulls for Houston, Omer Asik had a monster 20 points and 18 rebounds.
The Rockets had no time to rest though. They had a game the very next day in Minnesota to face the Timberwolves.
Fatigue seemed pretty evident, as the Rockets weren't running up and down the court as they had in their previous games. In the third quarter, with the team down 60-46, Harden took a seat on the bench to rest up. The move worked. In the fourth quarter, he came back in to score 17 of his 30 points. When it was tied 81-81 late, Harden scored the Rockets' final six points and Houston scored a comeback win 87-84.
Although the game certainly wasn't pretty, it was a win. And considering all the travelling and how tired the team was, just getting the win has to be considered an impressive feat.
