Harden: 'Everyone played well tonight'
The talents of James Harden and Jeremy Lin were on full display in the Rockets' 116-98 win Friday over the Blazers.
Harden appeared re-invigorated as he continues to work his way to healthier ground from the foot injury that's been nagging him for almost two months and forced him to miss two recent games. His Eurostep had some visible bounce. In 34 minutes, Harden scored 33 points with seven rebounds and six assists.
Lin wasn't too shabby himself, scoring 22 points on 8-13 shooting with eight assists, four rebounds, and two steals.
In other words, the two combined for 55 points, 14 assists, 11 rebounds, and three steals. And a Rockets win.
Both credited the ball movement as a team.
"We got off to a very good start offensively," Harden said. "As the game went on, our defense kind of picked up and we took it from there, but I think everybody played well tonight, from top to bottom."
"If you look at when we build leads, that's what we do," Lin said, referring to ball movement. "And then when you look at when we give up leads, that's what we don't do. And I think it's pretty clear now, night and day, for us. We can be two different types of teams: one that moves the ball really well and one that doesn't."
Ball movement, slash, mission accomplished.
