Rockets have 'statement game' vs. Grizzlies
The Rockets are playing possibly their best ball of the season. They're getting national acclaim, but on Saturday, their progress will be tested against the Grizzlies.
When people think of the Grizz, they usually think of the big men, and for good reason.
Zach Randolph has double-doubles in five of his last six and seven of his last nine games. Marc Gasol usually straddles that double-double line.
At the same time, the Grizz have one of the league's premiere lock-down defenders in Tony Allen. He pretty much completely shut down Monta Ellis when Memphis beat the Bucks in their most recent game. Also, in the previous meeting against Houston, James Harden scored 18 points, but he shot 4-18 to get there.
Overall, this won't be easy, but it'd be the same way for any team. That's why the Grizzlies are 17-6, which is better than even the mighty San Antonio Spurs.
