Rockets flat in brief trip home
All the Rockets basically echoed the same sentiments after Tuesday's game. The energy wasn't there against the Clippers. They need to shore up the defense.
Houston had led 59-58 at halftime of the Clippers' game. Unfortunately, LA came out with a 25-6 run to take control of the game.
"We played one side of the court on the offensive end in the third quarter and took too many long shots," Kevin McHale said. "We just gave in, I thought, in the third quarter. We just didn't have it. We didn't have what we have to have to keep that game within closing distance."
"We've got to be better," James Harden said. "Especially on the defensive end. Defensively, we've got to guard to win games. It's simple."
"I think we just couldn't get a rhythm," Jeremy Lin said. "They were getting everything. We weren't getting any stops. We weren't pushing it hard. I think we just lacked the ball movement, the energy, that thrust and pace that we played with the first half."
And those are a few things the team will look to turn around on Wednesday against the Mavericks.
