Highlights: Rockets hold on for huge win over Spurs

The Houston Rockets were dangerously close to adding another very disappointing loss to their early season ledger. Despite losing all of a 23-point lead, the Rockets recovered in time to deliver the San Antonio Spurs their first home loss of the season, with a 112-106 win.

James Harden scored 31 points in his second game back from a sore foot. Chandler Parsons added 25 points, despite still suffering from back spasms. After a late game dunk, Parsons was wincing in pain and crumpled to the court because of the back pain.

Houston snapped a seven-game losing streak in San Antonio.

Career high
Terrence Jones has been posting career highs pretty regularly and his 16 rebounds in this game, sets a new mark for him. He's averaging 8.6 rebounds a game as a starter.

Highlight of the night
Pat Beverley outjumped both Tim Duncan and teammate Terrence Jones for a huge tip-in off a Harden miss. The tip-in gave the Rockets a two-point lead with 31 seconds left. Beverley had 10 points, five assists and six rebounds.

It was over when...
James Harden took over in the fourth quarter. Harden scored 16 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter. He hit a 3-pointer to tie the game at 106 with just under a minute left. With the Rockets up two, Harden got the rebound off a Ginobili missed 3-pointer and found Parsons with a long pass for the slam that put Houston up four with 16 seconds left. He'd hit two more free throws and grab one more rebound to put the finishing touches on a big performance in a big win for the Rockets

Next up
Houston makes their second trip to Utah already this season. Houston came back from a 19-point deficit to beat the Jazz, 104-93. Houston has beaten Utah four straight times and will have just one game remaining against them in Houston later this year.
