Mike D'Antoni will be coaching against Jeremy Lin for the first time since Linsanity exploded upon the world.
"He's a big part of what I've done," the Lakers head coach said, referring to their days together with the Knicks. "Those two weeks were phenomenal. You look back. You remember. It was great.
"You know, he's not Linsanity. Everybody goes too crazy one way or too crazy the other way. He's a very good point guard in a tough league. A very good point guard. I think he's been playing well of late and, as he goes on, he's even going to play better."
D'Antoni was the head coach of the Knicks last season when Jeremy Lin got his shot in the starting lineup and promptly made the most of it in one of the NBA's most historic stretches for any player.
