He missed his first shots as a Houston Rocket, but on Friday night, Patrick Beverley kept giving Kevin McHale more reasons to play him some more.
Beverley, not Toney Douglas, was the first point guard off the bench to sub in for Jeremy Lin in the first quarter. And then, as he has in his previous two games, he immediately went to work.
In 16 1/2 minutes, Beverley finished with eight points, three rebounds, two assists, three steals, and one turnover. He hit two more three's to stay perfect from distance.
And, as has been the case in all his games so far, every time Beverley came into the game, there seemed to be an infusion of energy on to the floor.
