Patrick Beverley quickly impresses with Rockets

Patrick Beverley says it's hard to describe, but it's very clear in his words just how grateful he is to be a Houston Rocket.

"Words can't describe... I wake up mornings and I really can't believe I'm here sometimes," Beverley said. "As a kid, you write those little notecards of what you want to do when you grow up. For me, it was always NBA player. So for me to be here now, I mean, it's like, surreal."

The Rockets signed Beverley from Spartak St. Petersburg in Russia. The former Arkansas Razorback was leading his Russian team in points, rebounds, and assists.

After a stint with the Rockets' D-League club, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, Beverley impressed in his two minutes played in his first game with the Rockets. He impressed enough on both ends of the floor to earn more minutes. On Monday against Charlotte, Beverley scored 10 points in 24 minutes.
