Highlights: Rockets take down Nets

BOX SCORE

SYNPOSIS
The Rockets continued their momentum gained from their win the previous night against the Hornets and defeated the Nets 119-106.

Omer Asik delivered a big game inside with 20 points and 16 rebounds. James Harden had 29 points and really cut down his mistakes with zero turnovers. Chandler Parsons had 16 points with a career-high 11 assists. Jeremy Lin had 14 points and nine assists. Yup, a lot of Rockets  had good fantasy lines.
 
TURNING POINT
The Rockets ended the first quarter down a point. They started the second quarter on a 20-4 run to take control of the game. The Nets did make things interesting at various stages of the game, but that early second-quarter run certainly changed the nature of the game.
 
FROM THE FIELD
The Rockets shot 43-87 for 49 percent. From distance, they were 12-for-29 (43 percent).
 
AT THE LINE
The Rockets were solid throughout the game, shooting 21-for-27 for 78 percent.
 
HIGHLIGHT REEL
Lots of highlights in this one: Harden had a no-look feed to Asik for a dunk. Greg Smith had his usual array of slams. Patrick Patterson had a nice slam too. Harden had several nice lay-ups in the fourth.
 
UP NEXT
The Rockets next take the floor Monday night when they travel to Utah to face the Jazz. Houston beat them the last time the two teams played, 124-116, on Dec. 1.
