The Astros will look to left-hander Erik Bedard (4-11) on Sunday afternoon to try to snap a season-high eight-game losing streak and to avoid a four-game sweep to the Indians at Progressive Field in Cleveland. The Indians will counter with right-hander Corey Kluber (9-5). By winning the first three games of the series the Indians have taken over second place in the American League wild-card standings. Second baseman Jose Altuve, whose 33 September hits are tied for most in the majors this month, is batting second in the Houston lineup. Batting cleanup for the Astros is first baseman Chris Carter, whose ninth-inning home run on Saturday was the club’s only run in a 4-1 loss. Of Carter’s team-high 28 home runs, 18 have come on the road. Carter had three of Houston’s five hits on Saturday.
