- ATLANTA - The Falcons try to end their playoff drought in an NFC divisional-round game against the streaking Seattle Seahawks. Atlanta hasn't won a playoff game since the 2004 season. Game starts 1 p.m.

- FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The Houston Texans try to shake off a late-season swoon, and they'll have to do it on road against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Game starts 4:30 p.m.

- DENVER - No one should be surprised the Super Bowl favorites are already out of the playoffs. The Broncos are the ninth No. 1 seed since 2005 to lose in the divisional round.

- AUSTIN, Texas - Lance Armstrong is a day away from taping his interview with Oprah Winfrey, and the question remains: What will he say and what kind of confession is the public likely to hear?

- PLYMOUTH, Mich. - The defending champion Los Angeles Kings and most other NHL teams are set to practice, leading to a 48-game sprint of a season that starts in less than a week.

- HONOLULU - Russell Henley and Scott Langley, making their rookie debuts on the PGA Tour, share a three-shot lead going into the final round of the Sony Open.

- MELBOURNE, Australia - The Australian Open begins, with Novak Djokovic seeking a third consecutive title in the Grand Slam event. Serena Williams eyes her third straight title in a major. Play starts 7 p.m.

- LOS ANGELES - Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers attempt to end a six-game losing streak against Kyrie Irving and the Cleveland Cavaliers, who have lost six of eight. Game starts 9:30 p.m.

- COLUMBUS, Ohio - No. 2 Michigan plays No. 15 Ohio State, with the Wolverines 16-0 and going for a school record for wins at the outset of a season. Game starts 1:30 p.m.

- LAWRENCE, Kan. - No. 1 Baylor, winners of 11 straight, plays No. 17 Kansas in the Lady Bears' third straight game against ranked teams. They won the first two by an average of 31 points. Game starts 2:30 p.m.

- STANFORD, Calif. - The No. 5 Stanford women try to make it a sweep of No. 7 California when the rivals meet for the second time in six days, this time at Maples Pavilion. Game starts 4 p.m.

- ST. ANTON, Austria - Tina Maze of Slovenia wins her first super-G, becoming the sixth woman to capture a World Cup race in all five Alpine disciplines. Lindsey Vonn is third.
